A new study by Glassdoor ranked America’s 50 largest cities to determine the top cities for workers who are looking for jobs. The formula used weighed each city’s housing affordability, employees’ rating of job satisfaction, and the ease of obtaining a job using the ratio of openings to population.

The top rated metropolitan area for a job was Raleigh, North Carolina, due in large part to the numerous universities and research programs in the area. In recent years, Raleigh has undergone a technology boom as companies and workers have left higher-cost areas such as San Francisco and New York. Similarly, Austin and Seattle are rated highly due to this tech migration.
